Day 1: Fly into Poprad. Drive to Liptovsky Hradok to stay in the beautiful Castle Hotel.
Day 2: After breakfast, the Bear Watch Team will give a lecture about their work and an introduction to all aspects of the tour ahead. In mid afternoon, we will head off into the Western Tatras mountains, beyond the reach of other tourists in search of bears, red and roe deer. Overnight at a simple but wonderfully remote mountain ranger’s cottage. (B,D). We bring a chef to cook our food in the mountain cottage.
Day 3: Day of exploring the remote mountain passes looking for wildlife. Overnight in the Castle Hotel. (B,L,D).
Day 4: Morning optional panoramic flight over the High Tatras Mountains or Spis towns excursion. Transfer to Poprad International Airport for flight home.(B).
This tour may also take place in the Belianske Tatras mountains with accommodation in the Grand Hotel a replacing accommodation in the Castle Hotel and the use of a different mountain cottage on day 2, depending where the team consider the best bear viewing to be at that time.
