Stunning Slovakia and Projekt Medved' would not be able to operate without the invaluable cooperation and collaboration of our partners.
The most obvious of these are the National Park Authorities of the Tatras National Park who have given us exclusive access to their
ranger cottages and access to the park for us to do our research. However there are various other people and organisations who
also provide essential support and advice.
SPRAVA TANAPu
this is the Tatras National Park authority that is concerned with the conservation administration of the national park,
it is part of the Ministry of the Environment. SPRAVA provide the Park Rangers.

Statne Lesy
this translates as State Forests. Statne Lesy provide us with vehicular access and the use of the ranger cottages
within the national park.

Both of the above organisations are our partners in the capture and collaring of our subject bears.
Slavomir Find'o and Michaela Skuban
Slavomir and Michaela are leading scientists in the research of bears and other wildlife in Slovakia.
Currently they have various species collared including bears and red deer. We are in partnership with them to try and create countrywide
standards in collaring and sedating techniques and also to create countrywide standards for data gathering and reporting.

International Bear Association
we are members of IBA and as such we attend and contribute to various conferences primarily concerning
the conservation of the European Brown Bear. This naturally involves us with our colleagues across borders, such as those in Poland,
Ukraine and the Czech republic.

Tent with a View
we have a close association with a like-minded organisation in Tanzania that provides safaris and carries out wildlife projects
in the more remote and less visited Selous and Saadani national parks.

Keeper of the Wilderness
The wildlife film "Keeper of the Wilderness" shows perfectly the wonderful scenery and wildlife that can be found in the Tichá (the Silent) valley of the Tatras mountains. All of our bear watching tours visit this valley. The film was made by Erik Balaz and Robert Rajchl taking three years of patient observation.
